So we tried Joe Wicks' PE today.
Ha ha hahaha. C, bless her, did give it a go. However, the four-year-old wasn't able to quite keep up with him but it was a bit tricky.
We had drawn up a tentative timeline for the day with @aardnebby.lj that was meant more as a pool of ideas than as a strict regimen. Some of the ideas were clear hits, others... well, let's say that we'll find something else tomorrow for our morning routine. Making sure I keep an eye on both children's development is interesting - definitely going to
Friday childminder called saying she's not going to be able to take the children anymore. We totally understand, and it'll make things a bit trickier, but rather safe than anything else.
Facebook seems to have picked up a bit, and hopefully I'll be better at keeping in contact with other friends who have been busy as well as with colleagues which I won't necessarily be seeing every day.
S woke up from his nap rather upset, but shoes on helped and then he dragged us out on a walk to the park. He and C dealt rather well with the idea that the park was closed, which we didn't know. We walked back, enjoying the sunshine, and played in the garden, counting our blessings. We also saw the upstairs neighbour in the garden twice, so we'll need to make sure that we manage to either share the garden use time or explain social distancing to the children in a suitable manner.
The new normal so far is fine. A bit stressful. Worrying. But we will cope.
