Went to work today, dropping the children off at the childminder's. Since @aardnebby.livejournal is also a keyworker, we are still entitled to using childcare. However, I'm going to try and minimise this as much as possible - for now the plan is today, and Friday if the second childminder is still working. And then only days when I have to go into work. Trying to minimise exposure as much as possible. The childminder looked really sad today - she said she was going to miss the other children. She's been rather worried about finances too, although we let her know that we're more than happy to carry on paying regular fees as if we were still sending the kids there regularly. If the government decides to help them out, we can reconsider, but in the meantime, since Steve and I are still getting paid, no reason she shouldn't. Work was incredibly quiet. With only a dozen students in, and two or three members of staff taking care of them, the rest of us divied the work we could do at home, set expectations of what we wanted to be doing with our classes and decided on ways to keep in touch. Came home earlier than planned. @aardnebby.livejournal has moved his desk into our bedroom and out of the living room. Not as comfortable, but will make things easier when we are all in the house and he needs to take calls. I think everything is ready. Thank goodness for the garden.
