S started the day early. That said, he's been settling down a bit more easily at night, so fingers crossed that by the end of this week or the next we'll be in a more manageable pattern of him sleeping in his bed for most of the night. The co-sleeping is not the issue so much as the interrupted sleep and the not-so-small body kicking and squirming around and refusing to have blankets on (I get chilly!).
We made cake together in the evening to make sure that we had an Easter bunny cake. Instead of a 23-inch tin, I went for two 20-inch tins, and approximately separated the batter into two even parts... but forgot to ask @aardnebby.lj to check whether or not it was finished when the beeper went. The answer was no... I tried taking it off the bottom of the tin and it started collapsing! Luckily, it just meant popping it back in for 15 more minutes.
Trying to keep Second Sister's spirits up... I'm at a loss of how to help sometimes, what with distance and differences. Telling her I'm there seems to help somewhat but I'm never quite sure that it's enough. So we play virtual games, the children laying out the game in our house and her playing through the camera. It's a start.
