enielAfter yesterday's stress, we decided to take things a bit more easy today.
I was able to focus on some of the work I needed to do - and know that the next two weeks would be a bit less onerous because it's Easter vacation. So the plan is to sort out year 12, and make sure that the students know where they need to go, buy all the books they're planning on reading personally so that I know what they're going to be talking about, and emails. Lots of emails.
Rather tricky email to send to my students after the government's announcement that the NEA does not need to be finished - luckily, they all took it rather well. And most of them seem to be keeping up their spirits and looking at the positive side of things, making me smile.
C and S have been doing some birdwatching recently ("lo lo anno" for "look, look moineau" in the cutest code-switching voice ever), enjoying the fact that the sparrows and tits are eating our bird food while the pigeons are going for the neighbor's seeds (feeder shapes have a lot to answer for). Spotted a goldfinch today too (had to look it up) which seemed unusual, although maybe it's just that I hadn't had a chance to notice them before.
This is now the third night we've tried to finish watching Spiderman:into the spiderverse and simply failing because of Flailing Loud Wailing Child.*sigh*
