enielHighlight of the day: chatting with the NQT mentee to congratulate her on having finished all the relevant paperwork and having passed her year. After all the uncertainty of the past week, it's nice to get some positive closure. The chat carried on a bit (her wider family is being a bit tricky so she's struggling with maintainingg composure and perspective right now) so while we were talking, I was drawing and cutting out fish so C could colour them. The plan is for us to use them tomorrow for all our April Fool's day activities.
We're still trying to go out for walks as much as possible; we've been looking at walking over to wave at Sister-in-law and Father-in-Law who live down the road.
Not having a plan is sometimes making things tricky. Trying to keep our day organised and our ideas fresh to make sure that we have a routine but not a rut. Looking forward to many different things to do can also feel overwhelming: I'd told myself no work at the weekend or in the evening but I find myself sliding back into pre-work patterns.
