Today has been up and down.
@aardnebby-lj's work deployment has been rather smooth... maybe slightly too smooth, so that his colleagues think nothing of moving appointments around or rearranging his booked childcare time off during the day, without asking him whether or not it is possible for him to be as flexible as they expected him to be during his work in the workplace.
He was grumpier than I was - we had a nice communication in the morning laying out expectations, which helped tremendously when his work overran and then I knew what to expect.
I took today slightly off work - bits and pieces here and there but mostly refocusing on my original to-do list and making sure I sorted out things that I wanted done in terms of priority.
Started working on our "repair our necklaces" project with C, which kept her attention for a while,
I may have to finish hers but I'm really not fussed if that's the case, at least she's done some. S is still trying so hard to do everything his sister does, that I had a slight "heart in mouth" moment when I found them both standing on a chair outside.
Tonight's recipe, spiced parsnip soup, was a mixed result - two out of four people enjoyed it. Luckily, there's now enough for two left-over meals, which is perfect for lunches which are less formally "everyone eating the same thing" at the moment.
Second Sister is a bit down, so going to try and find ways of maybe boosting her morale... still thinking. Not sure the book club my aunt suggested would do it, but maybe watching the same series might?
